ATV Extravaganza! - By Paul Mason

With its first season under their belt, CMRC ATV and Wheels FX Powersports held their inaugural awards banquet over the winter, here’s how it all unfolded.

The Gathering

With the first scouted location unable to house the over 200 people in attendance, Phil Hodgson from HB Cycle cleared his showroom and opened the doors for the CMRC ATV contingent. It was actually a pretty cool deal as unlike their two-wheeled counterparts, most of the competitors and their families came to the banquet, not just the award winners. With this close knit group, there was probably no better setting for this evening than HB’s showroom!

Never one to understate a racers achievement, Wheels FX and CMRC ATV front man Moenes Salib ensured the racers were awarded accordingly. Plaques to the top five, Championship plates to the top three, an Oversized number one plate to the champion, as well as trophies, custom embroidered sweaters, hats, and more.

Although just getting to the track and competing makes anyone a winner, the following racers are the ones who were consistently the fastest and most determined riders (with the best luck on there side!)

End of a Season

There you have it, your CMRC ATV Champions. It was overwhelmingly considered a huge success for ATV racing in Canada and with year one complete, look for year two to be even better!
From everyone involved a huge thanks goes out the Salib family for giving ATV racers a series to call their own, and from myself, I would like to thank all the competitors for putting one hell of a show for me to shoot. Thanks, and we will see you again next year!
